Happy Diwali History


DIWALI is a Hindu festival. It is celebrated in India and Indian subcontinent. The history of Diwali is very epic.
 It is celebrated for the Victory of light over Darkness, Good over evil. This festival is celebrated on the darkest day of Kartik Month of Hindu calendar and the October-November month of Gregorian calendar. History of Diwali is very ancient. It is Mentioned Padma Purana And Sakanda Purana. Diwali is Also Called by other names in different places with Dipawali, Dipotsava, Diwali Etc.
Back in History the Diwali Festival is celebrated by various reasons.

This festival is celebrated in the honour of lord Rama Chandra the king of Ayodhya who is returned homeland Ayodhya after 14 years . So the people of Ayodhya celebrated this festival first time. They became happy and lighten the Deeps in the honour of Ramchandra. Ram Returned Ayodhya after Killing the demons and the demon king Ravana because he kidnapped Ramachandras wife Seeta.
Besides of this the diwali has Strong history and many others stories/ incidents connected to this fastival. All The Incidents makes this festival epic and Great in the living of Hindus.

According to Hindus, Shree Ram Killed the Evil King Ravana and returned to Ayodhya with her Wife Seeta on This Day. So this day is celebrated with lights in Ayodhya.
Lord Krishna Killed Narakasura on That day so the followers of krishna celebrates diwali for the Victory.
Sikhs have many reasons to celebrate this day. Back in History in 1577 the Great Golden Temple Started to build on this day and also in 1619 Kartika Amavasya the 6th Guru of Sikhs Freed from jail. So Sikhs celebrates this day.
So from the ancient time to present Diwali is celebrated in many forms and with different types for the different type of people groups.
In the ancient time of India it also celebrated as the harvest Festival.
Diwali is a 5 days festival the main diwali is celebrated on the 3rd day which is the darkest day of the month. 1St day is celebrated as Dhanteras.
2nd Day is Celebrated as Choti Diwali, 3rd day is Main Diwali adn the day of Laxmi Pooja. On this day the Peoples and their Family worships Godess laxmi (the godess of money).
4rth Day is annkut and goverdhan Pooja.
The last day and 5th day is celebrated as Bhai Dooj.
Diwali is most Common festival of India and also in other Countries. Fiji has a national holiday on diwali.
So the Message and the moral of Diwali is Truth is power full than Untruth.
Diwali is Festival of Happiness but it also true that it leads to Air pollution Because of firecrackers used at this day for celebrations. Burn and injuries is also happens. From the history to present the way of celebration has been changed. In past they Celebrated with Deepak Light and in present people Celebrates with Firecrackers and the waste of too much energy and money. This should be changed because the pollution of air is danger for over Future. Air quality will Decrease. For a good environment the way of celebration should be changed.
